The Akmeşe family focused entirely on warehouse shelf systems and became the owner of the second-hand shelf systems company, which is the largest and with the most customers in Turkey.
The Second-hand Shelf Systems Industry Market was established and made into a store at Tuzla Birmes Industrial Site. Among these products purchased and sold were archive shelf systems (steel shelf systems). However, at that time, warehouse shelf systems were nothing more than a pile of iron and were very difficult to sell. Yet, after several large-scale sales, warehouse shelf systems became the main focus. Thus, they became the founder of the second-hand warehouse shelf systems sector in our country.
Their business grew with the help of the contributions of their collected experiences and the developing technology of the time to the business. They began to purchase salvage parts from and sell to manufacturers. Packaging items from manufacturers were separated from the salvage and made into stock. This stock of packaging items gave rise to the wholesale trade business of used carton and parcels.

With the contributions of his then-14-year-old brother-in-law Metin Solmaz , who joined to work for Zeki Akmeşe, they had five tough years, aiming to grow their business. After these challenging years, they bought their first truck, driving both the growth and speed of their business. Salvage parts were collected directly from companies and sold to iron factories and mines.
Our Chairman Zeki Akmeşe, who was born in Acıgöl district of Nevşehir in 1953, moved to Istanbul to work at the age of 12 after losing his parents at an early age. He worked in various jobs and lived in challenging conditions. Then he started working in a scrap company and after years of hard work and great efforts, he started his own initial salvage shop in 1979 under the name of Akmeşe Ticaret.
